Marriage & Parenting Advice All Summer Long!
Happy June! It is officially summer in the Lyons home. While school may be out, the learning only continues. This week Joy read her first book all by herself! I shared this video, it was the sweetest moment! I am so thankful for organizations like So Happy to Learn for their resources to help kids with Down syndrome learn to read. This summer, both Joy and Cade will be spending four weeks at a day camp for kids with special needs. The best part is that Pierce and Kennedy will be counselors there! As a mama, there is nothing sweeter than seeing their heart to continue serving other kids with special needs.
We celebrated Memorial Day last weekend by hosting a potluck gathering with 50 of our loved ones. Not only did we enjoy one another's company and honor the day, but we dove into great conversations about what it means to build a resilient community. Spoiler alert: this is going to be a whole chapter in the book I am currently writing! Be sure to follow along with me on socials for more sneak peaks into the writing process.
As we enter the summer season, we are also kicking off a new season of the Rhythms for Life podcast! For ten weeks we will be diving into conversations about all things marriage and parenting. We have a great lineup of guest conversations that you will not want to miss. Be sure to subscribe to stay updated each week!
Cheering you on,
Rebekah
