If You’re Needing Encouragement Today

I am coming off an incredible weekend spent in Charleston! While speaking at a local church, I was able to visit one of my favorite spots, Bitty and Beau's coffee shop. As a momma to two children with special needs, I am inspired by their commitment to provide employment opportunities to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My road manager, Angela, and I loved getting to meet the team and enjoy their delicious coffee.

After speaking at this church, a woman in her seventies approached me with tears in her eyes. Having lost her husband, she was feeling the weight of loss and longing. She told me she was ready to give up- until she heard the Lord speak through my message. It was the sweetest and most humbling moment that reminded me of an important truth: no matter where we are in our journey, adversity is unavoidable. If we choose to run from it, we would be missing out on what God has to show us in the midst of it. In a moment of needing encouragement, God will often send someone to speak life and truth into the pain and hardship. That is exactly what he did by sending me to Charleston this weekend. It is a gift to be able to meet so many of you through these events and hear your stories!

If you are the one needing encouragement today, I have created a resource of 30 verses for anxiety. These are scriptures that I cling to and have memorized for those exact moments. I pray they would speak to your heart today.

Praying for you,

Rebekah
